The Format
Glizzy VI · August 29, 2026 · Ruby View Golf Course · Elko, NV
Every year the format changes. That’s the point.
Here is exactly how Glizzy VI will be won — start to finish, in full — so no one can claim they didn’t know the rules when they’re down a point on the 14th. Read it once. Read it twice if you plan on winning.
Eighty players. Four teams of twenty. Twenty matches. One trophy.
The Format Reveal
01 — The Field
Eighty Deep, Four Teams
Eighty players, split into four teams of twenty. The day plays out as twenty individual matches, and every foursome is drawn from players of similar ability — so each group is a fair fight, not a coronation. You’ll compete against the other three in your group. The points you pull go straight to your team’s total.
80 players. Four teams of 20.
20 matches. Grouped by skill, so every hole is live.
You play for yourself inside the group. You score for your team.
02 — Scoring
Fifteen Points, One Per Hole
Every match is worth fifteen points — one for each of the first fifteen holes. To claim a hole’s point, you have to beat everyone else in your group outright. Lowest score, standing alone. No company, no ties, no split decisions.
15 points per match. One point per hole, Holes 1 through 15.
Win the hole outright — beat all three, clean — and the point is yours.
03 — The Push
Tie a Hole, Settle Nothing
Tie and nothing is decided. If two or more players share the low score on a hole, that hole is a push: its point carries forward to the next hole — and keeps carrying, and keeps stacking — until someone finally wins a hole alone and sweeps everything that’s piled up behind it. Sit on a lead and you may hand the whole stack to the one player brave enough to go for it.
For example: two players tie Hole 1. That point carries, so Hole 2 is now worth two. Tie again and Hole 3 is worth three — the pot keeps growing until someone wins a hole outright and takes all of it.
Ties push. A pushed point carries and compounds until a hole is won outright.
The longer a push runs, the more there is to lose on one swing.
House Rules
The Forced Mulligan
Some rules reward the wedge. This one rewards the shotgun. At any point through Hole 15, if the three other players in a group agree, they may complete a shotgun together to force the fourth player to re-hit their previous shot — a forced mulligan, served cold.
Use it to erase a striped drive. Use it to break a hot streak. Use it because three of you finished first and the fourth deserves to watch. We take this rule seriously. Sort of.
Three players agree → one shotgun → the fourth re-hits. That’s a forced mulligan.
In play through Hole 15 only. 21+, obviously.
04 — The Finish
After Fifteen, Sudden Death
Point accumulation stops after Hole 15. Any points still unclaimed — including every push that never found a winner — are settled in sudden death beginning at Hole 16. Only the low scores from Hole 16 carry forward. The forced mulligan is retired here; from Hole 16 on, it’s clean golf and nothing to hide behind. Lowest score advances until every last point on the table has an owner.
After Hole 15, scoring stops and sudden death begins on 16.
Only the low scores from Hole 16 advance. No mulligans. Just golf.
05 — The Champion
One Winner. One Trophy.
When the last putt drops across all twenty matches, the points are tallied by team. The team with the highest total is crowned champion of Glizzy VI — and takes everything that comes with it. Bragging rights included, and non-negotiable, until Glizzy VII.
