About the Event
The Glizzy Golf Invitational was founded in 2023 with a simple goal: build a welcoming, competitive event for newcomers and locals to the Elko area.
The original field was largely mining-industry professionals — managers, superintendents, engineers, geologists, metallurgists, and geotechnical experts. Many had relocated internationally to pursue careers in Nevada mining. The event gave them a way to build real connections outside of the usual bar-or-casino default.
Six iterations in, the field has grown. We’re expanding beyond mining to include other local industries and professionals across the region — but the core remains the same. Limited capacity. Vetted players. Genuine networking in a relaxed, competitive environment.
For sponsors, this is access to a room you can’t easily get into otherwise.
The Field
Past attendees include managers, superintendents, engineers, geologists, metallurgists, and geotechnical experts from mining operations across the region — alongside an expanding mix of professionals from other industries. Future leaders, current decision-makers, and the people they bring with them.
The Party Hole
Where the day happens.
The Party Hole is a U-shaped tee box that places multiple sponsor booths in the middle of the action. Every group passes through, drinks, and lingers. There’s a live podcast that takes place in view of the tee box. If sponsorship is about being where the people are, this is where they are.
